San Diego hosts want outdoor dinners almost year-round. That climate is why on-site teppanyaki works so well here. We cook in North Park, Mission Hills, La Jolla, Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Encinitas, and East County when the driveway or patio can take the cart.
Military families, biotech teams, and weekend hosts along the I-5 corridor book us for celebrations that would otherwise mean a loud restaurant and a parking hunt.
Coastal and canyon sites
La Jolla and Del Mar can be windy. Encinitas and Carlsbad often have smaller yards with more neighbors. We plan the station so smoke does not sit against a fence line. If you are on a steep canyon lot, send photos of the path from the street. Stairs change the equipment we bring.
North County vs. the city
A Friday in downtown San Diego and a Saturday in Rancho Santa Fe are both possible, but they are different drives. If you can be flexible by a day, we will cluster the booking with another South County or North County event to keep the chef fresh and the fee honest.
Local menu notes
Guests here ask for more seafood than inland cities. Shrimp, scallops, and salmon sit next to the usual steak and chicken. We can source a vegetarian board that is not just zucchini and rice.
