Hibachi catering in San Francisco

Available. Chefs travel from Los Angeles — this is a longer trip, not a local hub. We quote San Francisco the same way we quote the rest of California: 20 miles included from Los Angeles, then a flat $40.

San Francisco is a space-and-rules city. Apartments, shared roofs, and steep streets mean more advance planning than a suburban backyard. When the site works, an on-site teppanyaki dinner is a better hospitality move than squeezing twelve people into a packed izakaya.

We cook in the Sunset, Richmond, Noe Valley, Bernal, Potrero, and permitted rooftops in SoMa when building management signs off. Marin and the Peninsula are easy add-ons the same week.

Building permissions

If you are in a condo or TIC, ask management about live cooking, propane, and load-in hours before you pay a deposit. We provide a one-page description of the station, fuel type, and cleanup. That letter is often enough. If the building says no flame, we will not argue with the door staff on Saturday night.

Weather and indoor options

Fog and wind are normal. A sheltered patio, garage with airflow, or a kitchen large enough for a compact teppan can still host a dinner. We will not run an unvented propane grill in a sealed living room.

Who books in the city

Birthday tables, investor dinners, and family nights when relatives fly in from Asia or the East Coast. The show feels special in a city that already has excellent restaurants, because the chef is in your house.
